For many patients, allergies don't allow them to breathe well. Other present with rashes on skin and there are others that have food allergies and food intolerances. For all these patients we have allergy testing through blood only ( through a reputable outside lab, no skin testing! ) and specific treatment with supplements and diet to resolve or greatly diminish the allergy itself. Most insurances, including MEDICARE pay for this service ( DOCS and OHP might not pay for this service ).

For most Females, menopause is a time of change. Change is sometimes so abrupt some require and seek treatment with hormones to alleviate hot flashes, fatigue, mood swings and others.  This happens because there is a disregulation of female hormones. HOW IS MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE DIFFERENT?

A Medical Acupuncturist is a licensed medical doctor with extra training in acupuncture and a better understanding of the body dynamics and function.

TYPES OF ACUPUNCTURE OFFERED ( A CONSULT VISIT IS REQUIRED FOR NEW PATIENTS PRIOR TO ANY TREATTMENT )

1. Regular Needle acupuncture ( 45 minutes – 1 hour)
2. Short-course pinpoint needle acupuncture ( 1 area of pain- 25 to 30 minutes )
3. Needle free acupuncture ( LASER and Electrical Stimulation – about 15 to 20 minutes )
4. Ear Needle protocols/ Ear Needle Free protocols ( Weight Loss and Tobacco cessation- 5-10 minutes )

We try as much as possible to be as natural on our treatments as we can.

First we need to have a diagnosis, which will usually be made using western medicine (history and physical, labs and images). 

Our treatment begins with extensive counselling with respect to lifestyle (such as exercise and nutrition), herbals        ( including some  specific brands that are more reliable ), detoxification, homeopathic remedies, Bach Flower remedies, etc.  We will offer treatments with elements of functional medicine in the future.

Currently we are offering whole body lab analysis from Metametrix and Geneva Labs. These tests ( include saliva, serum and urine ) are designed to give a thorough look into our bodies to check the status of our nutrition (proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals), body toxins, etc. Also we will offer allergy testing through Neuroscience labs.

At the times that natural treatment will not work, then we will need to treat with conventional medicine. We strive to use evidence based medicine supplements and herbals.
